(6 Weeks)
This 6-week beginner-friendly program is designed to help you confidently reach your 5km running goal, whether it’s your first time lacing up your shoes or you’re returning to running after a break.
The plan gradually builds your endurance and running confidence with manageable weekly training sessions, plenty of rest, and optional walk/run intervals.
At the end of 6 weeks, you’ll confidently complete your first 5km and most importantly, you’ll have built sustainable, enjoyable habits and set a strong foundation for future running goals.
This is best suited for beginner runners and those just starting out on their fitness journey.

The Her Trails Trail Marathon Program is a 16-week holistic training plan designed to prepare participants for the challenges of trail marathons.
This program balances endurance, strength, speed, and recovery while fostering a strong mindset to thrive on the trails.
Base Level Requirements - To start the program, participants should have a basic running and fitness foundation:
- Weekly Mileage: Be comfortably running 20–30km (12–18 miles) per week.
- Long Runs: Able to complete 10–12km (6–8 miles) long runs on undulating terrain.
- Trail Experience: Some familiarity with trail running, including uneven terrain and mild elevation.
- Strength Training: No prior experience required, but an openness to include it in weekly training.
- Commitment: Willingness to dedicate 5–7 hours per week, increasing as the program progresses.

Whether you’re tackling your first ultra-distance race or looking to improve your performance, this program offers a balance of endurance-building, strength training, and mindset coaching to prepare you for the unique demands of trail running.

100km Trail Ultra Program

The Her Trails 100km Ultra Program is a 20-week holistic training journey designed to prepare participants for the physical, mental, and emotional demands of completing a 100km trail event.
This program is rooted in endurance, strength, and mindset, providing the tools to thrive on challenging terrain while prioritising personal growth and balance.
Program Highlights
- Weekly Structure: Each week includes a balance of base running, long-distance training, speed and strength work, hill sessions, yoga, and rest or cross-training.
- Progressive Training: The program gradually builds endurance and climbing ability, culminating in peak long runs with significant elevation gain to mimic race-day conditions.
- Holistic Approach: Yoga, mobility, and strength training are integrated to enhance flexibility, prevent injuries, and improve overall strength and resilience.
- Mindset Development: Weekly intentions and journaling prompts foster mental clarity, confidence, and the ability to overcome challenges.
- Community Support: Participants are encouraged to connect with their community for shared motivation and accountability.
Base Level
- To start the Her Trails 100km Ultra Program, participants should be running 30–50 km per week consistently, with a long run of 2–3 hours on undulating terrain.
- They should run 3–4 times weekly, have some trail experience, and incorporate basic strength and mobility work (1–2 sessions per week).
This foundation ensures readiness for the programme's progressive challenges while minimising injury risk.
