Why the T50?
The Tarawera 50km (T50) is an achievable yet epic challenge, perfect for those who have completed a road marathon or a few half marathons and are ready to step up. Starting in the heart of Rotorua, this course covers close to 52km with a total ascent of 1160 meters, taking you through Rotorua’s stunning geothermal areas, lakes, and forests.

Foundation and Progression
We begin with a 4-week foundational phase to prepare your body and mind. The subsequent 16-week progressive phase builds your endurance and strength, tailored to the unique terrains of the T50.
Comprehensive Training
Our program includes strength training, mobility exercises, and yoga to enhance your overall physical prowess. Mindset coaching is integrated to boost your mental resilience. Our holistic approach ensures you’re ready for all aspects of the race. We provide weekly coaching, education sessions and are available throughout the week to answer your questions!
Nutrition, Recovery, and Support
We emphasise the importance of nutrition and physical therapy for optimal performance and injury prevention. Our experienced coaches guide you through these critical aspects of training, providing ongoing support.

Run Specific Strength
