Our Tarawera 102km Program is a 20-week plan crafted to prepare you for New Zealand’s premier 100km ultra, taking you through stunning lakes, lush native bush, and geothermal landscapes.
Starting in Kawerau and finishing in Rotorua, this point-to-point course offers runnable trails, scenic beauty, and on-course support, making it an iconic bucket-list event for endurance athletes.
What This Program Gives You
The T102 Program is designed to help you build the endurance, strength, and mental resilience needed to complete the Tarawera Ultra 102km with confidence.
The program includes progressive long runs, hill-specific training, and pacing strategies to help you manage the elevation gain and distance. Alongside the physical training, you’ll receive mindset coaching, nutrition guidance, and mobility exercises to support recovery and injury prevention.

Our Tarawera 50km Program is a 20-week plan tailored to help you build the strength, endurance, and resilience required for the T50 course.
Starting at Te Puia in Rotorua, the route takes you through stunning geothermal landscapes, native bush, and along three iconic lakes before finishing at the Village Green in downtown Rotorua.
Designed for first-time ultra runners and experienced trail enthusiasts alike, the T50 offers a welcoming and scenic entry into the world of ultra-running.

The T50 Program focuses on endurance, pacing strategies, and hill-specific training to prepare you for long runnable sections and technical trails.
