We are capping the number of athletes to our Tarawera programs to ensure a personalised and powerful experience. This program will equip you with the strength, endurance, and community connection to fuel your resilience and passion.

Why the TUM102?

Starting at Firmin Field, Kawerau, and finishing at the vibrant Village Green in Rotorua, the TUM102 offers the perfect balance of challenge and beauty. As you journey through 102km of diverse terrain, you'll encounter the tranquility of five different lakes, the solitude of the Tarawera Forest, cascading waterfalls, scenic twists of the Eastern Okataina track, towering redwoods, and the unique thermal landscapes of Sulphur Point.

Her Trails: Training Reimagined

At Her Trails, we believe in offering a training experience that's more than just about crossing the finish line. Our 20-week program for the TUM102 is crafted to empower you with physical grit, mental resilience, and a deep love for the journey itself.

Foundation and Progression

Our program initiates with a 4-week foundational phase to prepare your body and mind for the journey ahead. The subsequent 16-week progressive phase strategically builds your endurance and strength, tailored specifically to the unique terrains of the TUM102.

Balance, Resilience, and Community

Training for an ultramarathon requires a balanced approach. With a focus on strength training, mobility exercises, and yoga, our comprehensive program enhances your overall physical prowess. Equally important is the mindset coaching integrated into our training, designed to fortify your mental resilience.

Joining Her Trails means becoming part of a supportive community of women, united by a shared ambition. When Her Trails puts its full force behind an event, you benefit from the collective energy, encouragement, and expertise of a dedicated community.

Nutrition, Recovery, and Support

Our program also acknowledges the significance of nutrition and physical therapy for optimum performance and injury prevention. Under the guidance of our experienced coaches, dieticians and physical therapists, you'll navigate these vital aspects of training. Their wealth of expertise will support and guide you, every step of the way.

On the Day: Race Support and Community Connection
