Ready to take on the GPT 100 Miler Solo?
Introducing the Her Trails training program designed specifically for the GPT 100 Mile Solo, created in close collaboration with Canadian ultra runner and adventurer Ray Zahab.
** this offer is for members only**
Whether you're a seasoned trail runner, an experienced ultra athlete, or ready to take on the ultimate ultra distance, our comprehensive 20-week program is specifically designed to prepare you for the unique demands of a 100-mile trail event.
Aspiring 100-mile (160 km) runners should start their training with a solid running base. You should feel comfortable running long distances of over 32 kms and consistently logging 60+ kms weeks while remaining injury-free. Be prepared to gradually increase your training.
In addition to your running, it is crucial that throughout this 20 weeks you incorporate all of our non-running sessions. This will keep you strong, reduce your risk of injury and build your power and stability. We are talking - strength, mobility, yoga and hiking sessions.

What makes Her Trails different?
- We train the whole runner: Yes, you’ll build climbing legs and aerobic endurance, but you’ll also learn how to support your nervous system, align with your cycle, and stay connected to what matters to you.
- We coach in real time: Join live weekly coaching and community calls to get your questions answered, troubleshoot any roadblocks, and stay anchored in a shared journey.
- We are built by and for women: Our programs are created by a team that understands female physiology, psychology and the lived realities of training around life’s complexities.
- You’ll never be “just following a plan”: You’re joining a living, breathing training experience, full of context, coaching and connection, designed to evolve with you as you move towards this goal.
- Train wherever you are: Whether you're in the city, the bush, or travelling in between, your sessions and community are fully accessible from your phone or device, whenever you need them.
What’s included in your 20-week program:
- 4–6 structured run sessions per week: built specifically for Buffalo’s elevation, terrain and duration.
- 1-2 strength training session weekly: develop the power and stability needed for sustained climbs and long descents.
- 1–2 mobility or yoga sessions: to restore, realign and keep your body moving freely across the full training load.
- Weekly live coaching + community calls: get tailored support, connect with others on the same path, and stay accountable to your goals.

- Daily access to our online community: for encouragement, shared stories and honest support from women training for the same event.
- Nutrition guidance: to ensure your fuelling supports both your training and your life.
- Physical therapy input from ultra-experienced clinicians: including injury prevention strategies and recovery tools tailored to female runners.
Food for Thought Before Signing Up for a 100-Miler:
-
Have a Solid Base: We recommend having completed a 100km race in the past 12 months to support your base and prevent injuries.
-
Mental Preparation: Do not underestimate the importance of mental preparation, even though it’s not on your training schedule. This is something we work on tirelessly with our athletes, especially those training for a 100-mile race.
-
Accountability and Growth: Our job is to help you stay accountable to a comprehensive strategy to bring out your best on race day. It is also to help you grow throughout the 20 weeks and learn an insurmountable amount about yourself in the process.
-
Commitment: Be humble enough to commit yourself fully to the training journey. Deeply consider the sacrifice before you set the goal.
-
Experience: We recommend, although it is not mandatory, that prior to taking on a 100-mile race, you should have at least a few years of training and completing shorter distance endurance events.
