Welcome to the Her Trails 20-Week Training Program for the Surf Coast Century 100km

The Surf Coast Century 100km stands out as a unique event along the stunning Great Ocean Road region of Victoria. This race takes you beneath impressive sea cliffs, across secluded beaches, and through the rich wildflower hinterlands. It's perfect for both seasoned ultra-runners and first-timers, thanks to its fast course, supportive environment, and the incredible scenery that changes with every step.

Her Trails: Tailored Training for the Surf Coast Century

Her Trails offers a comprehensive 20-week training program designed specifically for the physical and mental demands of the Surf Coast Century. This program is focused on building your endurance, strength, and confidence to take on the 100km race.

Training Phases: Building Foundations and Strength

The program begins with a 4-week foundation phase to prepare your body and mind for the upcoming challenge. This is followed by a 16-week phase aimed at increasing your endurance and strength, with exercises and routines crafted to meet the specific demands of the race's varied terrain.

A Holistic Approach to Training

We believe in a balanced approach to training, which includes strength training, mobility work, and yoga, as well as mindset coaching to prepare you for the mental aspects of long-distance running. This comprehensive approach ensures you're ready not only for the Surf Coast Century but for any challenges you may face.

Run Programming

Experience a gradual and safe progression in your training with our proven system designed to prevent injuries and optimise your performance. Our program combines a variety of training sessions, including base mile, speed, hill, threshold, active recovery sessions, and long runs workouts. 

Weekly Trail Time

Run Specific Strength

Build strength, resilience, and longevity with our weekly 30-60 minute at-home strength videos. Activate, stabilise, and train your body through targeted exercises that enhance your running performance and help prevent injuries. 


Mobility Session

Enhance your body's mobility and unlock its full range of motion with our weekly 15-50 minute mobility sessions. Address imbalances, combat physical stress, and alleviate fatigue as you give your body the freedom to move and perform at its best.

Our weekly coaching sessions provide a dedicated space to address your progress, challenges, and modifications. We believe in the power of personalised support, and our coaches are here to guide you through your journey, offering valuable insights and motivation.
