10km Program: An 8 week Journey

Introducing the Her Trails 10km Program! Whether you're a beginner looking to complete your first 10km race or a seasoned runner aiming for a personal best, this 8-week program is designed to meet you at your level and help you achieve your goals.

What you get in this comprehensive program:

Minimum of 3-4 run sessions per week, specifically designed to gradually build your endurance and prepare you for the 10km distance. Our experienced coaches will provide tailored run programming to accommodate beginners, as well as those aiming for a new personal best or returning to running after a break.

1 strength and conditioning workout per week, adaptable for all fitness levels. These exercises will target key muscle groups, improving your overall running performance, preventing injuries, and building strength and stability.

1 mobility or yoga session per week to enhance your range of motion, reduce muscle tightness, and improve your running form. These sessions will help you maintain proper alignment, prevent imbalances, and aid in injury prevention.

Access to our Life Hub, an online resource hub with beginner-friendly resources to support your running journey. You'll find guidance on proper running form, injury prevention strategies, recovery techniques, and more. Our aim is to provide you with the knowledge and tools to support your overall well-being throughout the program.

Weekly Her Trails episodes where Coach Sam will inspire and guide you. These episodes will focus on mindset training, offering tips and motivation to help you overcome challenges, stay motivated, and maintain a positive outlook on your running journey.

Integrated coaching from our Her Trails coaching team. You'll have the opportunity to engage in live weekly coaching sessions where you can ask questions, seek guidance, and receive personalised feedback. Our coaches are here to support you every step of the way, providing the guidance you need to achieve your goals.

Invitation to a cohort-specific 10km community group, connecting you with a supportive community of like-minded individuals at similar stages in their running journeys. In this group, you'll find encouragement, support, and a space to share experiences, ask questions, and celebrate milestones together.

Nutrition support: Proper nutrition is vital for your energy levels, recovery, and overall well-being. Our program includes beginner-friendly nutrition guidance, focusing on fuelling your runs, post-run recovery, and maintaining a healthy and balanced diet to support your training.

Physical therapy guidance: We understand the importance of injury prevention and proper form, especially for beginners and those returning to running. Our program incorporates guidance from experienced physical therapists who specialise in working with runners. You'll receive expert advice on injury prevention exercises, running form, and techniques to ensure a safe and enjoyable running experience.
